Ariel and Coco

I know it's been a while since my last post, but here's a really cute video of Ariel and CoCo at daycare with Token checking in on his little sister.

Token's First Day at the Beach!!!

So, Saturday, we went to the Hawthorn spcaLA to get Ariel her Bordatella and Rabies vaccines, and figured since we were down there, why not just go to the dog beach in Long Beach? Since Token had never been to a beach, it was a bit worrying about how he would react not only to the water and sand, but to the other dogs running free. He had been doing so much better with other dogs, sniffing their rears, letting them sniff his, etc etc, that we figured it was worth a shot. HE LOVED IT!!! I know Ariel loves the beach, but it was so nice to see him get more comfortable and run around (and even eventually swim) in the water! Not one incident! He bared teeth once, but when I called his name he relaxed. I went to Target beforehand to pick up a jug of water, a cheap $1 large bowl and some towels to dry them off and I figured why not see how he reacts to a soccer ball. Wow, I mean he loves frisbees, but if the ball is out, he ignores them completely. I would say he had a major breakthrough this weekend. I think soon enough he'll be able to go to daycare and play with other dogs!

Token Loves Frisbee

We went to a park this weekend to test out Token's love of frisbees and this is the result. He had such a blast. He ran around after the frisbees (catching them most of the time) while his sister walked around like a little cow grazing on the grass.

ARIEL GOT A BOYFRIEND!!!!

So! After a long search, she finally has a live-in boyfriend. He came from Beagles and Buddies! His name is Token (used to be Tazer). His birthday is 3/20/07 and his previous owners did a few good things for him, but overall left him to his little smart-as-a-whip brain. Poor kid ran all over the neighborhood getting into trouble. He's so friggin smart and Ariel loves him (though she gets on his nerves). He's picking up the house rules really well and REALLY wants to please. HE EVEN CATCHES FRISBEES!!!
